1968 911 coupe LHD (Sold)

1968 911 coupe. This is an exceptional example of the iconic 911 shape created by Porsche in the early Sixties to follow on the success of the 356 models which started the rear engined Porsche story at the end of the Forties. Quite an act to follow but with the installation of an all new 6 cylinder engine the concept grew up and so began a whole new era in the now legendary Porsche story.

The influence that this grown up design has had on the motor industry and on so many competition successes which to this day still continues is immeasurable.

This more basic Coupe, with 148 bhp, and matching numbers, has completely original bodywork as manufactured by the Porsche factory all those years ago. An extremely rare rust free survivor with its original books and 119,000 miles, it has been painted once, but never restored. It has lived in Arizona where many aircraft are simply mothballed in the open desert! A truly magnificent car that encompasses all the feeling of going back in time to this exciting time in the development of the sports car. All original and immaculate interior.

A very rare chance to own an icon for a lot less than its more powerful 911S sister. This is a real head turner and is admired and recognized in any company.

This exceptional car now in stock, only 119,000 miles in 47 years!
